Someone messaged me asking about how I make my comics. It’s fairly basic, but ANYWAYS:
1- I write my comics in 15 -20 page chunks, which consists of writing straight dialogue for a page, followed by a layout. Layouts are about two inches high, in my sketchbook. Just getting bare bones shit down.
2- Pencils! I try to pencil four pages on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so I can ink them over the course of the week. Pencilling normally requires the most thinking and work. I really cannot do them on weekdays because of this. I’m too fried after school, I guess. Inking is pretty mindless work.
3- Inking’s the most fun part, and it takes about three or four hours to ink a page, depending on how complicated the page is. I ink one page monday through thursday, then give myself friday night off to do whatever with friends, Watch Serbian Dance videos, etc.
aaaaaaaaaaaand that’s a page. I’ve got about six hundred or so more to do before I manage to create a decent one.
